Firsts.....

So many firsts for our girls---

from chocolate chip cookies...both didn't want to try and once they did, we had to put them away

to getting to know their siblings--

This was our first morning home (up at 2:30 after arriving home at 10:30 pm)---
Vaida was combing Nate's hair:)

Check out Vaida eyeing up Jack's soda---she knew it was good and she wanted it...

and she is trying to get it!

to barefeet

to playing in water for hours

to biking and playing with dolls---

Vaida tried to run down the driveway twice.
Bill found some snow fence in the barn for a
temporary fix---we've got a gated home now:)
He picked up some nicer fencing at the store.
Too hard for a mom with a bum knee to chase kids
running for the road!

to learning to jump on the trampoline--

Two precious girls, forever loved, learning what a family is....learning through play and laughter what it means to be loved.  A family learning how to help two gifts from God release some of their fears, fears that come from years of "being alone" and fending for themselves.  Helping a six year old learn that she can be a little girl and play with dolls, not having to always worry and care for her younger sister.  Helping two treasures learn how to appropriately give and receive love, handle frustration, limits, sharing.....

Blessed to wake up every morning to a six year old
whispering to you that she loves you in her native language.
Thank You Lord for the gift of this sweet one!

Falling asleep cuddling with a five year old who spent many nights alone but who wants to cuddle---who will place your hand on her head for you to rub her hair and will place your arm around her.  Thank You God for opening her heart to receive the love and affection she has missed for so long!  Having her wake me up overnight to cuddle---such a blessing!

Welcome Home Girls---
Home....
Where you will always be loved and treasured .....
loved for how He fearfully and wonderfully made you.

Thanking Him for showing us so many bits and pieces of who the girls are the last couple of weeks.  And grateful for His wisdom, strength, and love
flowing through us as we work through the
many changes our sweet girls are going through.
He is faithful!

Every good and precious gift is from above.....       James 1:17
